Simple thoughts

I'm back.........not really happy I must say, I whish I could stay longer, four days are just the blink of an eye......but I won't complain, I was lucky to go in the first place.
It was a wonderful trip, we enjoyed sunny days, good food, stunning views and wonderful friendship (included the newest addition of the club).

It's been a very busy week at work, every single day was a nightmare...............

    and at home I had some really serious cleaning going on................

Finally, it was weekend time! A lazy saturday afternoon watching tv and reading a good book, and some light cooking for dinner



Yesterday morning I went with mom to visit my dad's sister at the nursing home where dad was staying too, but after seeing her, we decided it was useless another visit, she didn't recognize anyone, and it's too painful for mom to go there again.

In the afternoon with Marty and Alice I drove to the Magnani Rocca Foundation to see the Andy Warhol exhibition.
We had a great time, we all love Warhol works, the park surrounding the Foundation is so charming, we had  time to relax a bit after the visit

So, the right wing of italian politics won the election yesterday.....
Anyone out there (abroad, I mean) want to adopt a nice, decent, hard-working, love-to-cook italian woman??

This is exactly how I feel today (and yesterday, to tell you all).

Saturday night it was really nice, for the first time in ages, we managed to get all together (the friends of a lifetime) for a pizza and some talk. We had a great time, reconnecting with each other, it was very late when we finally got home.

But we had a very bad fight, hubby and I, and now I'm really down. We don't talk, and I'd like to stay in bed under a cover, and shut down the entire world. I have my faults and he has his', and we have a very tough personality, no one wants to ask for forgiveness first...........

Celebrate what? Our willing to stay all together after all these years, to share old good memories, to have new memories to store away for the future, to see where (and how) our twentys are gone......
I'm planning our annual reunion, the old classmates back together once again, this time I'm sure it will be a real blast!



One of the girls some years ago bought a country house, she has renovated it inside, now she and her husband are fixing the garden, and what is better than a classmates party to inaugurate it? I can think of nothing........
I went to see my uncle two weeks ago (she's his new neighbour) and I met her, so she involved me in the making of the party (knowing me well, I have to say). I knew already her house having spent in that garden lots of summer afternoons in my child days, and for me it's like a coming back home.
Now I'm fixing who's gonna bringing what to eat, which music to play, how to arrange seats outside, how to decorate the garden......it's a lot of work, but it's really funny! I hope everybody will come (the D-day is the 25 may) and that the party will be just fabulous!

I'm feeling lazy these days, and I don't know why. Maybe it's just the weather

or maybe it's my anemia, but I just want to or spend time with my friends  or thinking about  cooking soemthing new

The thing that really upsets me, it's I don't read as much as I used to do, my Mount To Be Read is getting bigger and bigger and every book I choose seems to be the least appealing in the world

I can't really stand the situation!

Remember our friends from Modena? Well, they'll come with us to Provence, the hotel manager has replied saying he has another room for them, so we're ready to go!



Tomorrow night we're gonna to have dinner with our friends to fix the last details and the road planning, while enjoying good food and good wine.....
