Overdue update
Ok, let’s start with a very, very good dinner we had at some friends’ place (all the pics are from my friend O.)
It was so nice and very thoughtful that they cooked a gluten-free dinner, starting with this appetizer…

and proceding with these two entreès…..

The main course was a sea-lasagna, as my friends called it

followed by a saffron risotto

I was done way before the risotto, but the dinner wasn’t….. we had bacon rolled asparagus (my original recipe, that my friend liked so much)

served with cheese and ham soufflè

and roasted artichokes and potatoes….

served with artichokes muffins

To refresh our mouths we had a delicate and delicious lemon pudding

and we finished with a light chocolate cake

How to burn so much calories?
The next night we went to a bar, that after 11.00pm transforms itself into a club where you can dance latin-americans…. some “chicas” even invited our husbands, and trust me, THAT was a scene!!!! (too pity they ALL threatened me to post a thing about it…..) – sorry for the blurry pics, they are from my hubby cell -

We had so much fun till the break of dawn, and I woke up with a terrible hung-over (too much mojitos….)
We tried a new take-away-pizzeria opened recently in our street

and two new recipes for pasta & beans

We had another very nice and entertaining night out with some friends at a local club, where we go often, that on saturday nights holds music shows. Last time it was “AcousticAmerica” with old times ballads, country music, jazz and soul with songs by Johny Cash, John Denver, Bruce Springsteen, etc. So good that we hit the pillow at 3.00 am!

At the beginning of february we had a very bad weather, this is how my hometown was looking back then….

The pics look like postcards, right? Well, it was very real, trust me, and the cold as well!
Every year, the company I work for celebrates itself on the annual meetinmg with all the partners. Usually we are all invited to join the conference, while the partners stay for the lunch too. This is how the reception was like…

This year it was a special occasion though, and a few days after the usual lunch, the company organized a major event, a dinner open to all of the employees too, the local authorities, and to some major politicians. The setting was stunning, Stendhal’s Charterhouse of Parma.

It was an amazing night, good food, good wine, good conversation and good music in the background.
